In Memory of Beth Thomason

We recently lost our beloved longtime costume designer, maker and consultant, Beth Thomason.

Initially working along side her mother, Inez Thomason for forty years plus, Beth used fabric, color and air, to enhance and heighten the expressiveness of bodies moving through space, sometimes clinging to the human form and other times allowing the flow of fabric on bodies that twirl and swirl filling the stage with unforgettable expression; memories that last in the mind for years.

As an artist Beth became an indispensable collaborator of Ballet Concerto. She created a place for herself where we all knew if Beth was designing costumes, they were going to be meaningful and an integral part of the dance enhancing the choreography.

She was a recognized as a long-time costume designer and maker in the Fort Worth and Dallas arts community. She has provided wardrobe and costume design works not just for Ballet Concerto, but also brought to life the visual aesthetic for dancers from classical to contemporary for other repertory performances in other companies is the DFW area.

She will be missed.
